The Banjo - Louis Moreau Gottschalk

Gottschalk was a 19th century American composer who was influenced by the syncopated music of Louisiana Creole and the Caribbean, one of the earliest inspirations for ragtime and jazz a few decades later. This piece is pure Americana, imitating the various pre-civil war era techniques and styles of banjo playing. You can find many more videos on my YouTube channel, here!
